As a software engineer, you know that good software is more than just a nice-looking interface plus data. We're looking for a software engineer like you to develop efficient and effective software, from vision to production-ready system in an exciting, agile environment.
As a Software Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver complete end-to-end solutions to your clients. Using your software engineering expertise, you'll analyze the environment to ensure that your team's solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You'll sharpen your skills as you master new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements. Work with us as we develop systems to create change for the better.
In this role, you'll directly impact the organization and customers by supporting their transition to a DE workflow, designing solutions for their unique use cases that will support the warfighter. With your advanced technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, you'll guide a team that develops the best solutions for our customers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing software engineering architecture and implementation
- 5+ years of experience in the DoW, Navy, or aviation
- Experience with tech stack or languages, including SysML or UML, and object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, or C#
- Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban and IAC MAC
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, migration, and modernization
- Ability to lead and support RFPs in an IAC MAC environment
- Ability to lead or support technical solutioning across multiple opportunities or proposals simultaneously
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Software Engineering
- Ability to obtain a Security+, CISSP, or ISSAP Certification within 3 months of hire date
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with programming languages such as Rust, Go, or Python
- Experience in DE and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with ISR
- Experience developing white papers
- Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
