Job description

Barrington Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Central Registration & Scheduling Systems Coordinator to join our team! This individual will mainly be responsible for answering all incoming calls for the CRS queue, scheduling appointments with providers, obtaining all demographic and insurance information for patient registration, managing and providing operator triage coverage, overseeing the management of the Assort AI system, and reviewing Dash self-scheduled appointments. Other tasks are to be assigned as needed.

Scheduled hours: Full-Time 40 hours per week

Monday - Friday: Hours anywhere from 8:00AM - 6:30PM

Minimum of one Saturday per month is required. Minimal travel.

Central Registration & Scheduling duties would include:

  • Answering all calls sent to the Central Registration & Scheduling phone queue.

  • Scheduling patients with the appropriate provider.

  • Obtaining patient's demographic and insurance information and accurately enter into patient's file.

  • Managing physician schedules and cancel/reschedule patients as needed.

  • Reviewing reports received for successful/unsuccessful self-scheduled patients.

  • Providing backup and scheduling operator coverage as needed.

  • Accepting and completing daily/weekly tasks (buckets) such as entering referrals, faxes, appointment web requests, etc. in a timely manner.

Management of Assort AI duties would include:

  • Being available to take any operator calls needing triage.

  • Reviewing all transcriptions of phone calls taken by Assort AI.

  • Meeting with Central Registration Scheduling Manager & Director for weekly status updates/reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Strong medical background.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • At least two (2) years in a medical field required.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.

Salary Range:

$18.00 to $25.00 depending on experience.
