Job description
The Cybersecurity Operations Team Lead is a highly motivated professional who will manage a Team of eight (8) Systems Engineers and Administrators supporting the Operations and Maintenance functions for a highly virtualized hybrid cloud multi-site environment. The Operations Team is responsible for the daily operations, troubleshooting and maintenance Monday through Friday 0600 to 1800 EST/ED. In addition, the Operations Team provides incident response and scheduled upgrades during non-core business hours as required and in an on-call rotation. The candidate shall have experience in development and maintenance of system architectures, project management of on-premises, virtual and/or cloud hosted systems, and the ability to define and manage an IT operation and maintenance program while supervising engineers and administrators in an Agile environment. The candidate needs to be well versed in Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations., * Ability to provide infrastructure and application management to facilitate the operations of IT systems and applications, while leading a team to maintain high levels of system confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment supporting scrum masters, developers, system owners, and other key stakeholders
- Ability to assess near-term and future business priorities; consults with program personnel, management, and customers to develop alternative solutions; advises on options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impacts on other business capabilities, processes, and priorities
- Ability to create business capability definitions, models, assessments (e.g., value vs. maturity) and business capability roadmaps to support system architectures and system roadmaps. Provides technical leadership in a Systems Integration and Operations & Maintenance environment
- Ability to facilitate after-action reviews and leads improvement efforts
- Ability to apply best practices and standards such as the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) coupled with Change Management
- Ability to manage remote staff and prioritize activities based on customer needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant IT experience managing large or complex enterprise systems
- Experience in Systems Administration of Windows and Linux systems
- Experience with network security, routers, switches, load balancing, IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols and standards.
- Experience with system scanning and hardening (STIGS)
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Suite and all Windows 2016 and 2019 Admin tools
- Experience managing and monitoring systems with LDAP and SNMP
- Experience with McAfee and Microsoft Windows Defender Virus Protection
- Experience with VMware vSphere 6 and/or 7
- Experience with Splunk, RedHat Linux and HCL BigFix a plus
- Experience with BMC Remedy, Confluence and JIRA
- Experience with Security information and event management (SIEM) technologies
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
