Job description
LPL Financial Corp is seeking a collaborative and experienced Scrum Master to support Agile development teams in delivering high-quality, customer-focused technology solutions. In this role, you will help foster a culture of continuous improvement, promote effective Agile practices, and enable teams to perform at their best in a supportive and transparent environment.
Role Scope
- Individual Contributor (IC) role with no direct people management responsibilities
- Supports multiple Agile teams and may provide informal mentorship to peers
- Partners with Product and Engineering stakeholders to enhance Agile maturity and delivery effectiveness, * Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach teams on Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP), and best practices
- Identify and help resolve impediments to support team progress and productivity
- Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized and well-defined backlog
- Promote team ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Track and communicate team progress, metrics, and risks to stakeholders
- Foster a transparent, inclusive, and collaborative team environment
- Help maintain team focus by minimizing disruptions and managing dependencies
- Facilitate effective communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution
- Support adoption of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes
Requirements
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), or equivalent certification
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams and facilitate collaboration
- Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar, * Experience supporting multiple Agile teams concurrently
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD environments
- Familiarity with applying AI tools or techniques within the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience in financial services or a regulated industry
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
