Job description

The Salesforce Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the integrity, accuracy, and usability of business data across Salesforce and the internal systems that feed into it. The role partners with business users, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data flowing through Salesforce is reliable, well-structured, and ready to support reporting and decision-making.

While Salesforce serves as a central reference platform, a significant portion of the work involves backend internal systems that interface with Salesforce. The analyst is expected to support both recurring operational cycles and ad hoc requests, with a strong focus on data quality, normalization, and trend analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data across Salesforce and connected internal systems to support business reporting, trend identification, and operational decisions.

  • Maintain data integrity by reviewing, reconciling, and standardizing records across multiple sources, ensuring consistency between Salesforce and upstream systems.

  • Support recurring operational cycles - daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly - including data validation, reporting refreshes, and reconciliation activities.

  • Execute system updates and corrections through backend utilities and supporting tools, addressing both scheduled and request-based work.

  • Investigate data discrepancies across ERP, internal systems, and Salesforce; coordinate with relevant stakeholders to drive resolution.

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce and Excel to support business visibility, including pivots, trend views, and validation checks.

  • Conduct data quality reviews and contribute to enhancements that improve reporting accuracy and usability.

  • Support testing activities for system changes, including validation of configuration updates, issue tracking, and deployment readiness checks.

  • Manage account- and hierarchy-related updates, including customer, end-user, and organizational mapping, to ensure alignment across systems.

  • Set up and maintain sales code lookups and produce clean, validated output files for downstream use.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, reference guides, and user materials to support consistent execution and onboarding.

  • Provide first-level support to business users for data-related questions and escalate complex system issues as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in data analysis, CRM operations, or a similar function.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, including reports, dashboards, and tools such as Data Loader.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with working across integrated systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, internal platforms).
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; ability to translate data findings into clear business context.
