Job description

As a CBRE Data Center Sr. Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and complex corrective repairs within

a Data Center operation.

This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance

services in critical client environments.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including

servicing and maintenance.

  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Make sure third parties and vendors follow compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all

applicable laws and regulations. Accompany vendor's on-site visits as needed and ensure site standards are

met.

  • Verify subcontractor performance meets all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment. Assist staff with tricky

situations.

  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to complex HVAC-related client problems.
  • Review meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities to ensure accurate information is documented.
  • Provide Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting. Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance at the site.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and

requirements and confirm all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.

  • Operate a permit-to-work system under the company's health and safety procedures. Verify that appropriate

controls are within the Permit-to-Work systems.

  • Ensure that ACOP's applicable to the maintenance industry procedures.
  • Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Help create and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk

assessment. Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated.

  • Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a

combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and

the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-

related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The maximum salary of $80000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
