Job description

This is a long-term contract role with real potential for conversion to a direct, permanent position for the right person. The contract structure gives both sides time to confirm a strong fit, and a candidate who does excellent work and meshes well with the team has a genuine path to being brought on full-time. There are no exceptions to this requirement, including for medical marijuana cardholders. Job Location: Madison Heights, MI (on site at Navistar Defense)., We are seeking an Embedded Controls Architect to lead the development and productionization of Drive-by-Wire control systems. This role focuses on real-time control of steering, braking, and propulsion systems. This role supports a production program to deploy a Drive-by-Wire (DbW) solution on embedded vehicle controllers for a high-reliability vehicle application. The system is developed using a model-based design approach (MATLAB/Simulink) with auto-generated code deployed to production ECUs.
