Job description

  • Interface with technical managers, developers, and engineers to understand technology needs and IT requirements
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to design and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions across domains
  • Participate in Proof of Technology (POT) and Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives; contribute to RFP evaluations for vendor/product selection
  • Ensure alignment with architecture/design standards, quality guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Research emerging hardware/software technologies; evaluate alternatives and recommend optimal solutions
  • Perform hands-on engineering tasks and create reusable procedures and technical runbooks
  • Decompose features into executable user stories with clear descriptions, sizing, and dependencies in Agile sprints
  • Develop scripts and automation to reduce manual interventions and improve engineering consistency
  • Assist in validating product releases and fine-tuning existing systems for performance and stability
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to peers and junior team members
  • Foster collaboration across multiple delivery streams and geographically distributed teams

Requirements

  • Specialized knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure operations
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Platform or DevOps Engineer
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and cloud automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Specialized knowledge in multiple technology domains with proficiency in a broad set of tools and products
  • Specialized knowledge of middleware, operating systems, APIs, and database platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with a focus on delivery quality
  • Effective organizational and troubleshooting capabilities in complex environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work efficiently within matrixed teams
  • Ability to coordinate task execution across distributed teams and multiple streams
  • Strategically anticipates problems and proactively contributes to team success
  • Experience in developing solutions
