Job description
Cass County Electric Cooperative has an opening to join our IT team as a full-time IT Security Specialist at our Fargo, ND headquarters.
In this role, you'll help protect the cooperative's information assets, systems, and technology infrastructure from evolving cybersecurity threats. The position supports day-to-day security efforts by monitoring, investigating, and responding to security events, maintaining secure system configurations, and assisting with vulnerability management.
You'll work closely with the IT team and leadership to strengthen CCEC's security posture and help promote a cooperative-wide culture of information security.
Requirements
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, plus one year of related work experience. Closely related and progressive job experience may substitute for a portion of the educational requirements.
- A professional, approachable communication style when working with employees
- The ability to prioritize tasks and respond thoughtfully to security concerns
- Working knowledge of Windows, server systems, networking, and Microsoft Office
- The ability to monitor, assess, and respond to security alerts
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care
