Job description

We are hiring a Photogrammetrist / GIS Specialist to make our processing pipelines faster, more accurate, and more reliable - and to produce the deliverables that come out the other end.

What you'll do

  • Run drone imagery through our existing photogrammetry pipelines and deliver orthophotos, digital surface models, point clouds, and 3D models that meet our quality standards per product line.
  • Improve those pipelines. We have our own dispatch logic, job queues, and cloud-compute orchestration - we want someone who can identify where they are slow, fragile, or producing inconsistent results and help us make them better.
  • Tune processing parameters across product types so we get predictable outputs with less manual intervention.
  • Quality-check outputs after processing - geometric accuracy, color balance, completeness -before they reach the customer.
  • Maintain coordinate-system discipline across every deliverable so our outputs line up cleanly with customer base maps and downstream tools.
  • Document the pipeline so the next person on the team understands how it works and how to extend it.

What we expect

  • Geospatial accuracy is the standard. Customers act on what you produce.
  • An engineering mindset for the pipeline. You measure throughput, failure rates, and quality drift, and you propose specific improvements.
  • Honest reporting on what the data supports and what it does not. If a reconstruction is weak, you determine what the origin was and correct it.
  • Steady throughput on production work even while you are improving the system that runs it.
  • Willingness to write code, scripts, and configuration changes - not just operate a GUI.
  • Experience in working with drone data, or heavy aerial imagery pipelines.

Requirements

  • Working experience with photogrammetry software and engines (Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, OpenDroneMap, RealityCapture, or equivalent).
  • Working experience with GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, or equivalent).
  • Comfort with coordinate reference systems, projections, and geospatial file formats.
  • Scripting and command-line proficiency. Python preferred. Comfort working in cloud environments.
  • Experience tuning a photogrammetry pipeline for throughput, cost, or quality - and being able totalk about what you changed and what it improved.
  • Strong attention to detail and the patience to QC your own work.
  • Clear written communication for documentation and post-mortems.

Helpful but not required: point-cloud processing, mesh and texture optimization, FAA Part 107, contributions to open-source photogrammetry tooling.
