Job description
The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the information systems (IS) and technologies needed for the management and analysis of research and clinical trials data. They contribute to the strategic vision, direction and operations of the Research Network by developing and implementing the information systems and software solutions required to meet the current and projected research needs of the Providence Research Network. This positions works directly with researchers on the design, testing and implementation of systems and infrastructure supporting modern research and software development/programming methodologies. They provide timely insight and advice to leadership to permit the leveraging of these technologies in future plans., Accepting a new position at another facility that is part of the Providence family of organizations may change your current benefits. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or a related specialty Or 4 years of related experience.
- 2 years Experience as a Software Developer/Engineer, Dev Ops or a position that had the same or similar primary duties.
- 2 years Experience with software versioning and release management.
- 2 years Experience with server management.
- 2 years Experience coding in Ruby, JavaScript, HTML and similar languages.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year Experience in a Healthcare environment.
- 1 year IT Project Management experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
