Job description
This position plays a crucial role in leading and supporting software release activities, as well as overseeing the change request process for the Technical Services Section. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in and guiding software release initiatives.
- Reviewing, approving and routing change requests within the change management system.
- Contributing to technical documentation efforts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including application development, security, workstation support, and operations, to support a wide range of technologies critical to the agency's success.
- Assisting with coordination of enterprise-level services and project activities., Remote work: Employees with approved remote and hybrid-remote work arrangements are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin. High-speed internet access is required to meet the needs of remote work. Remote work options are subject to change., * Supporting IT projects, system implementations, application upgrades, or technology initiatives.

Requirements
- Using structured project approaches (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, or similar).
- Using change management / IT service management technologies (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
- Applying knowledge of IT infrastructure or application support (e.g. server administration, networking, security concepts or cloud services such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

Starting pay is between $72,800 and $83,200 per year, depending on qualifications, plus an exemplary benefits package:

The classification title for this position is IS Technical Services Senior (schedule 04, range 34). A 12-month probationary period will be required. This position is considered exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.
