Job description

As a Product Support Specialist, you'll be the go-to technical resource for our product line - bridging the gap between our products and the people who use them. From building documentation and managing firmware to troubleshooting alongside customers and collaborating across teams, you'll play a hands-on role in making sure our products perform flawlessly in the field.

What You'll Own

  • Develop and maintain all product documentation and assets - User Manuals, Training Materials, CAD Files, 3D Models, DMX Charts, and more.
  • Build and maintain DMX/GDTF Personalities across multiple console platforms.
  • Oversee the creation, publishing, and ongoing updates of console and industry database libraries (Capture, Vectorworks, Depence, etc.).
  • Test products for DMX Personality accuracy, file integrity, and firmware compliance.
  • Keep the company service portal stocked with up-to-date Technical Service Bulletins, Troubleshooting Guides, and self-serve resources.
  • Partner with Product Management to surface customer feedback and drive technical improvements.
  • Support pre- and post-sales efforts by working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

How You'll Contribute Beyond the Core

  • Pitch in with the Service and Technical Support teams when the queue gets busy.
  • Team up with Marketing to develop product training content - videos, guides, and more.
  • Lead and participate in training events, including dealer education sessions.
  • Represent VOLUX at tradeshows and company-sponsored events.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on stage lighting experience in a technical or related role.
  • Strong proficiency in programming, moving light consoles and lighting fixtures.
  • Solid understanding of DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and RDM protocols.
  • Experience with CAD and 3D modeling software.
  • Ability to create DMX and GDTF profiles from scratch.
  • Comfort with MS Office, PDF creation, and general file management.
  • A knack for juggling multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Valid Driver's License and Passport required.

Bonus Points For

  • Hands-on experience with MA Lighting consoles.
  • GDTF file creation experience.
  • Familiarity with photometric measuring equipment., * Do you have familiarity with DMX Lighting Consoles?

  • Stage Lighting: 2 years (Required)
