Job description
The Cashier take payments from customers in exchange for goods or services while providing with quality customer service. They greet customers as they arrive, provide them with information regarding products, and answering any questions regarding the products sold. Cashier is responsible for processing refunds and exchanges while managing the cash drawer. At the end of each shift, they tally funds and ensure everything is in order. The Cashier may also act as a customer service representative as well as performing front of the house duties such as bussing tables, ensure cleanliness and maintenance of front of the house, assist in restocking shelves, rotating merchandise and inventory., 1. Provides prompt, courteous, unobtrusive customer service by greeting and assisting customer, and, responding to customer inquiries and concerns.

Rings up all sales on cash register, properly and accurately handling money, checks, and other types of payments received for products sold.

Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes a positive culture and represents the values of the Company.

Performs housecleaning duties necessary to maintain high level of food service sanitary conditions and basic upkeep and/or cleaning equipment in the food service areas, dining area and restrooms.

Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.

Keep reports of transactions.

Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets.

Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones.

Bag, box or wrap packages.

Balance cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.

Provides pricing information and product related questions.

Adhere to company dress code as specified and, embrace Company's policies, goals and initiatives and perform those expectations.

Assist staff in stocking shelves, rotating merchandise and inventory.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Communicate with management to ensure effective running of the business.
- Collect payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for customers.
- Process credit/ debit and cash transactions.
- Maintain knowledge of store inventory and sales activity.
- Train other staff members to work as a cashier.
- Perform the duties of customer service representative when required.
- Sort and count currency and coins.
- Address customers concerns proactively.
- Running food to customers.
- Bussing tables as needed., 1. Employee performs approximately 90% of work indoors.
- Employee is exposed to intermittent noise (i.e. cash register, telephone, kitchen equipment).
- Employee works under direction and periodic supervision.
Equipment, Tools and Materials

Employee utilizes the following electronic equipment: cash registers, computers, telephones, food processor, microwave, oven, coffee/tea machines.

Employee utilizes the following manual equipment: flat cart, hand truck, ladder, step stool, hand tools, kitchen utensils, grocery baskets, rubber gloves, mop, broom, degreaser/ defoamer.

Employee handles liquids, cloth, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, cleaning and chemical solvents.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience directly related to a food service.
- Ability to perform the essential duties and to work in the conditions described below.
- Ability to work with the equipment, tools and materials listed below.
- Ability to arrive at the job site in a timely manner and maintain good attendance standards.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic PC knowledge, familiarity with electronic equipment., 1. Must be able to communicate orally and writing in English.
- Must be able to compare similarities and differences between words and a series of numbers.
- Must be able to perform the four basic arithmetic operations.
- Must be able to comprehend and utilize instructions as given.
- Memorize products and be able to direct customers and make suggestions.
- Knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards, debit cards and gift cards.
Physical Functions
- Must be able to stand/wall up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. form ground to overhead or 40 lbs. from ground to waist level up to
30 minutes of workday (i.e. assisting in stocking/ maintaining inventory levels).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to overhead (i.e. replenish soda fountain syrup).
- Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs. (i.e. using hand truck).
- Ability to grasp reach and manipulate objects with hand up to all day. This position requires eyes-hand coordination and may require bilateral coordination of hands up to 6 hours of the workday.
- May be required to climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs.
