Job description
AMD is looking for an influential software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology., * Lead the design, development, and delivery of security solutions for next-generation FPGA, SoC, and embedded x86 products, ensuring robust protection throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define and drive security requirements, architectures, and implementations, including secure boot, cryptographic services, root-of-trust technologies, and access control mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, program management, and validation teams to integrate security into architecture, design, testing, and product release processes.
- Support Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) activities, including threat modeling, code reviews, penetration testing, red teaming, and security feature validation.
- Investigate and resolve complex security challenges, including critical customer escalations, while providing technical leadership and guidance on product security strategies.
- Contribute to the evolution of scalable, innovative security architectures that address emerging threats and enable future product capabilities., AMD may use Artificial Intelligence to help screen, assess or select applicants for this position. AMD's "Responsible AI Policy" is available here.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. We are looking for a multitasker who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, an outgoing person who can communicate internally and externally to customers, and who has a passion for developing solutions to complex security issues, * Expertise in SoC, FPGA, embedded x86, and ARM-based platform security, including threat modeling, cryptography, secure boot, TEE, TrustZone, and access control.
- Experience applying security principles to hardware and software products, including certification efforts (Common Criteria, FIPS).
- Hands-on experience with FPGA/SoC development, validation, simulation, verification, hardware debugging, and lab testing.
- Proficiency in Python, C, Verilog, VHDL, or similar programming languages.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, including RTOS, embedded Linux, and hypervisors.
- Industry experience in Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Datacenter, or Test & Measurement environments.
- Deep expertise in Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and hardware root-of-trust technologies.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's, Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
