Job description
State of the Art, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thick and thin film resistive products, has an opening for an IT Manager. Hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime hours as required to meet deadlines.
As Manager of Information Technology, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical infrastructure, support and operations for our manufacturing facility in State College, PA. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of all technical systems and processes, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support, manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our infrastructure environment consisting of servers, storage solutions, backups, enterprise software and virtualized infrastructure.
- Develop and implement strategies for the design, deployment, and maintenance of technical infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, security and cloud platforms.
- Ensure availability and security of technical systems to meet business requirements.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends and evaluate their potential for improving operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and select vendors and service providers and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of technical services.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to identify and eliminate security risks to protect the organization's technical infrastructure and manufacturing capability.
- Interact with executive level management, effectively communicating technical concepts and providing operational solutions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of and experience with network architecture, cloud computing and cyber security concepts.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, enterprise storage systems and diverse computing environments.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Informix a plus.
