We're partnering with a client to find a talented Network Engineer to support their technology team. This temp role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and monitoring in a dynamic environment. Based in Los Angeles, this position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their expertise in networking technologies., * Assist in analyzing, designing, configuring, and maintaining network systems under supervision.
- Support senior engineers in resolving issues and troubleshooting network problems.
- Contribute to network optimization by providing basic improvement recommendations.
- Respond to emergent network events with guidance and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors on troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of networking principles with practical experience in routing and switching (e.g., IP, BGP, OSPF, LACP, STP).
- Experience with network security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with network utilities like ICMP, Syslog, and Wireshark.
- Basic understanding of wireless networking and remote access solutions.
- Exposure to networking hardware like Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper, or Arista, along with scripting skills (e.g., Python) and knowledge of network monitoring tools. A related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
