Become an integral part of their transformative journey and join the First Place for Youth team., POSITION OVERVIEW: The Data and Reporting Analyst reports to the Data and Analytics Manager and is a key member of the Evaluation and Learning team. This role supports First Place for Youth's data operations, Apricot case management system administration, funder and contract reporting, and HMIS data entry and quality assurance. The position requires a combination of analytical ability, attention to detail, and comfort with operational and administrative data tasks. The Evaluation and Learning team is focused on making data and reports more accessible and actionable for staff, leadership, partner organizations, and funders., Primary responsibilities of the Data and Reporting Analyst include administering the Apricot case management system, supporting funder and contract reporting, maintaining HMIS data entry and quality for applicable contracts, and contributing to team-level data quality efforts. The Data and Reporting Analyst is also responsible for:
- Managing staff accounts, permissions, and system access in Apricot; monitoring, updating, and where necessary creating new reports and forms as program or reporting needs evolve; and troubleshooting system errors in coordination with the vendor.
- Providing documentation, training, and technical assistance to staff on Apricot data entry, workflows, and system use; identifying strategies to reduce administrative burden through form simplification and workflow improvements.
- Completing monthly, quarterly, and annual funder reports in collaboration with program and finance staff; maintaining standard internal dashboards in Power BI used by program staff and managers to track performance and contract compliance.
- Entering and maintaining client data in HMIS for applicable contracts in compliance with funder and CoC requirements; conducting regular data quality checks to identify and resolve missing, inaccurate, or late entries; supporting bulk data upload processes where permitted by funders.
- Responding to data requests from program staff, managers, and external partners; supporting the production of data summaries and presentations for internal and external audiences, including occasional original analyses.
- Collaborating with program staff and managers to ensure accuracy and reliability of agency data, and full compliance with internal and external data standards; helping to maintain the internal metrics dictionary.
- Maintaining confidential data files and supporting secure data management practices across systems.
- Working in collaboration with colleagues to achieve organizational, departmental, and individual priorities.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (data analytics, social work, public policy, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a data, reporting, or program operations role, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.
- Experience with a case management system (e.g. Salesforce, Apricot) required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with current MS Office suite applications.
- High attention to detail and ability to effectively monitor data quality, accurately identify errors or missing information, and implement corrective processes.
- Strong Communication Skills - Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to present data clearly to non-technical audiences.
- A strong dedication to cultural competency that creates conditions that remove barriers and increase a sense of belonging.
- Familiarity with HMIS data systems and/or HUD data standards preferred.
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, preferred
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend work and some travel as needed.
