Job description
This role is ideal for a Design Engineer who brings deep technical design expertise and is ready to step into a leadership position while remaining actively involved in project execution. backgrounds are in Water/Wastewater, Site/Civil or MEP.\n Your Primary Responsibilities will include \n

Develop engineering designs, plans, and specifications for infrastructure, site development, water/wastewater, and/or building systems projects. \n

Perform technical analyses, calculations, and modeling to support design decisions across disciplines (e.g., hydraulic modeling, grading/drainage, or mechanical/electrical system sizing). \n

Prepare construction drawings and documents using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit). \n
-
Coordinate design efforts with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers. \n
-
Review project requirements, codes, and regulations to ensure designs are compliant with local, state, and federal standards. \n

Assist in the preparation of technical reports, permitting documents, and engineering studies. \n

Support project managers with scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking. \n

Conduct site visits, field investigations, and data collection to inform design and verify existing conditions. \n

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address design questions and resolve issues. \n

Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction for conformance with design intent. \n

Identify and implement cost-effective, sustainable, and innovative engineering solutions. \n

Maintain accurate project documentation and adhere to quality control procedures. \n \n
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. \n

5+ years of relevant engineering design experience (level can be adjusted based on role seniority). \n

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain is . \n

Experience with design and analysis tools relevant to discipline (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, hydraulic modeling software, or MEP design tools). \n

Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., local/state agencies, EPA, building codes, NEC, etc.). \n

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \n

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. \n

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. \n

Familiarity with construction documents, specifications, and permitting processes. \n

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management tools is a plus. \n

Ability to perform field work, including site visits and inspections, as needed.
