Job description

Are you a Python-savvy Data Analyst eager to make a tangible impact within a dynamic FMCG company in Utrecht? Join our client's Research & Innovation team, where you'll be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights using Python, collaborating closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of critical data and analytics solutions that drive innovation forward., * Spearhead the implementation and testing of initial data processing workflows, ensuring a smooth transition to the IT department for full-scale operationalization.

  • Craft and manage Python code to facilitate the manipulation and preparation of diverse datasets.
  • Provide ongoing assistance and necessary modifications to existing software applications.
  • Collaborate with business representatives to define and organize the mapping of data elements.
  • Convert stakeholder needs into precise specifications for analytical tools and reporting dashboards.
  • Conduct business-focused validation of data assets and analytical outputs.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring the timely completion of all assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • Interact with end-users to confirm the accuracy of results and iteratively improve system functionality.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality across all data sources., A challenging fulltime assignment, starting asap, initially until the end of April 2027. ZZP is not possible for this assignment. You will work via a flex-contract with Independent Recruiters Flex, with a salary of € 4500 - € 5500 gross per month for a 40-hour work week.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a data analysis role.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Python, including practical application of libraries such as Pandas for data manipulation, NumPy for numerical operations, and SciPy for scientific computing.
  • Experience with visualization or dashboarding tools like Streamlit is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to design and implement robust processes for cleaning, transforming, and preparing diverse datasets for analysis.
  • Solid grasp of fundamental statistical concepts, including descriptive statistics (e.g., central tendency, dispersion) and their application to interpret data patterns.
  • Proficiency in using Git for source code management and collaborative development, ensuring code integrity and traceability.
  • Requirements Elicitation: Adept at gathering, documenting, and clarifying business needs related to data analysis, reporting, and desired insights.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable and effective in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical (IT) teams, fostering productive partnerships.
  • Prior experience analyzing data within the food or chemical sectors is considered an advantage.
