You'll work on mission-critical banking software used by major retail banks, combining deep C# expertise with SQL Server, Blazor and modern cloud-ready architectures. You'll take ownership of key C#/.NET components within a large, enterprise-grade retail banking platform. Expect hands-on development, architectural input, and leadership around integrating AI into workflows such as fraud detection, customer analytics, automation, decision support and operational efficiency.
This role suits a senior engineer with strong full-stack skills and a passion for modernising financial systems., * Design, develop and maintain C#/.NET applications used across retail banking operations.
- Build modern, responsive front-end interfaces using Blazor.
- Work extensively with SQL Server to design schemas, optimise queries and improve data performance.
- Lead the introduction of AI and machine-learning capabilities into existing products and workflows.
- Collaborate with product, data and architecture teams to define AI use cases and integration patterns.
- Drive best practices across coding standards, testing, CI/CD and secure development.
- Mentor mid-level developers and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security and performance requirements for financial institutions.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years' professional experience developing enterprise systems in C#/.NET.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, including performance tuning, stored procedures and schema design.
- Hands-on experience building modern web UIs with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, API design and cloud-ready architectures.
- Experience integrating automation, analytics or AI-driven features into production systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in regulated, high-assurance environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
