It is a place to develop, grow and master your craft while solving real-world challenges for real merchants., Our client is embracing a hybrid multi-cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure and GCP alongside on-premise infrastructure, and is looking for a Network Engineer to engage across the full lifecycle of their hosting environments. You will take a hands-on approach to design, implementation and ongoing stewardship, working alongside peers in TechOps, DevOps and InfoSec, with observability, high availability, information security and infrastructure-as-code treated as first-class concerns. You will also play a critical part in the operational support of existing legacy and future acquired assets. This suits a self-starter who owns deliverables end to end, prioritises effectively and thrives in a dynamic environment with limited supervision., * Evaluate, test, develop and implement complex technical solutions that drive business value

  • Support network infrastructure including switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls and cloud networking resources
  • Own proactive grooming, lifecycle management, upgrades and capacity management
  • Manage high-visibility, high-risk changes and lead incident, change and problem management
  • Ensure the availability, performance and operational integrity of the network engineering domain
  • Act as the TechOps liaison to Engineering, Architecture, Information Security and Production Support
  • Coordinate appliance and software upgrades with vendors and internal teams
  • Produce written procedures, engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Champion standard change management and configuration policies, * Help establish and shape the client's hosting environments from the ground up
  • Genuine end-to-end ownership within small, empowered teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of enterprise-level network support
  • 2+ years hands-on with Palo Alto solutions
  • Hands-on expertise across Layer 2, 3, 4 and 7 switching, routing and application delivery
  • Strong knowledge of core routing, switching, IP networking, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, QoS, VLAN, VXLAN and BGP
  • Solid experience with VPN and wireless access points
  • Scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python or similar
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Experience with network security such as certificate management in applications
  • Experience with monitoring tools for failure detection and forensic investigation

Desirable / Nice to Have:

  • Automation and infrastructure-as-code experience such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Juniper Networks experience
  • AWS or Azure experience
  • Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, PCCSE, PCSAE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP or JNCIE
