Join our HR Operations team as an HR System Administrator, supporting the effective operation, development, and continuous improvement of HR systems used across North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our HR systems are robust, accurate, secure, and fit for purpose. You'll work behind the scenes on system functionality, data integrity, reporting, testing, and change activity - helping ensure colleagues and leaders can rely on high-quality people data to support operational delivery.
What you'll do:
- Provide specialist administrative support for HR systems, ensuring system functionality, configuration, and data integrity are maintained to a high standard.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and changes, including involvement in testing activities such as UAT and controlled implementation into live environments.
- Administer and support systems that generate accurate and timely people data and reports, ensuring reliability, access, and compliance with business and statutory requirements.?
- Monitor and evaluate data quality, reconciling information across systems and taking remedial action to maintain compliance, accuracy, and security.
- Respond to system-related queries, providing advice, guidance, and problem-solving support to users across People Services and the organisation.
- Work closely with the HR System Lead, People Services colleagues, ICT, and external suppliers to support system performance and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that improve system efficiency, usability, and the overall user experience., As part of our selection process, we'll assess your skills and experience against the requirements of the role. Requirements
- Excellent IT and digital skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- High levels of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse and present reliable data and information.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with experience identifying issues and supporting effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders across multiple platforms.
- Confidence in administering HR or enterprise systems and databases, with the ability to support system functionality, data integrity, reporting, and testing activities.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing demands in a fast paced environment.
Experience supporting HR systems in a back end or administrative capacity (including configuration, data management, reporting, or testing) would be advantageous, but is not essential.
