This is an opportunity to join our Aviation business and support operations that make a genuine difference to communities across the UK. Working closely with Engineering and Flight Operations teams, you'll provide essential administrative and operational support that helps keep critical police and air ambulance services running effectively.
You'll be responsible for coordinating a variety of business support activities, maintaining accurate records, supporting reporting requirements, and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organisational skills, and takes pride in delivering high-quality support to multiple stakeholders.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Processing purchase orders, invoices, expenses and associated business documentation.
- Producing reports, KPI data, presentations and spreadsheets to support departmental activities.
- Coordinating supplier liaison, hazardous waste collections, uniform and PPE orders, and stationery requests.
- Supporting Engineering and Flight Operations teams with roster administration, holiday requests and sickness cover arrangements.
- Maintaining accurate records, files and business documentation while supporting internal meetings and reporting processes.
This is a full-time, permanent role based onsite at Staverton, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across different levels of an organisation.
- Experience maintaining accurate records, reports and business documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulae, statistical functions, charts and conditional formatting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Experience using AI tools in a business or study environment would be advantageous.
Qualifications for the Engineering Support Officer:
A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) clearance for this role.
