Developer

As Developer, you'll be part of a small, collaborative Agile team based in Cardiff, delivering high-quality business applications that make a real impact. Working across the full technology stack, you'll design, develop and maintain solutions using C# .NET, Angular and SQL Server. You will also help support clients, investigating issues and delivering robust, reliable solutions that keep our systems running smoothly., * C# .NET and Angular development - Design, develop, and maintain new and existing application features using C# .NET for backend services and Angular for responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces.

• SQL Server database maintenance - Support the ongoing maintenance, optimisation, and troubleshooting of SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and reliability across applications.
• Support to quality assurance using Playwright automation - Assist the QA process by creating, maintaining, and executing Playwright automated test scripts to improve test coverage and support the delivery of high-quality software releases.
• Participation in Agile (Scrum) ceremonies - Actively contribute to Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to support effective team collaboration and delivery.
• Participation in deployment processes - Support application deployment activities across development, test, and production environments, helping to ensure smooth and successful software releases.
• Reporting to Lead Developer and Scrum Master - Provide regular updates on development progress, risks, and issues, working closely with the Lead Developer and Scrum Master to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.

• Candidates must be technically proficient in C#.NET (or a comparable language) with at least 5 years experience in a development role. Familiarity with any modern RDBMS is essential. Experience of a front-end framework such as Angular or React is preferred.
• Successful candidates will display good communication skills and a strong collaborative spirit. You must be able to interact effectively with stakeholders within Product, QA and the wider organisation.
• Responsible use of AI tools is a day-to-day requirement in the team and a proactive attitude towards broader use of AI is positive.
• Experience within a regulated industry is beneficial but not essential. Experience with event-driven applications is also desirable.
