VB.NET Web Developer

VB.NET Web Developer needed to join our development team

Salary up to £35k DOE plus monthly profit-related bonus

Development projects supporting HotLizard Ltd. Your role will be working with the core team on HotLizard s products to develop features, improve user experience and advance the platform using the latest technologies. HotLizard is a technology driven company with a global presence and portfolio of successful online recruitment products. In addition, HotLizard is presently looking to accelerate development of a suite of sports related products.

Day-to-day, a developer concentrates on developing with no red tape or distractions - 100% focus on developing software. Management works to the same ethos with an emphasis on proactive decision making ensuring we 'go to market' with effective products first.

• At least 3 years work experience in VB.NET
• Experience with relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL
• Self-motivation/drive to achieve project goals
• Analytical, creative problem solver with good communication skills
• Strong work ethic and team player with positive attitude

Desirable Skills

• HTML, CSS (and LESS), Javascript (and Typescript)
• ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC
• IIS
• WebAPI
• jQuery
• Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools
• Unit Testing
• Use of TFS for source control and/or project management
