Senior Design Engineer

• Design and develop bespoke retail display systems and components in SolidWorks.
• Produce 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Optimise designs for manufacturability, quality, cost, and repeatability.
• Prepare flat patterns and CNC-ready data (Jetcam or similar experience a plus).
• Work closely with the production team to refine designs and solve technical challenges.
• Manage the NPI (New Product Introduction) process
• Manage the factory of the future/continuous improvement process
• Support continuous improvement and innovation across processes and products.
• Potentially occasionally assist with visualisations or renders in SketchUp or Blender.

• Strong SolidWorks experience (3+ years ideally).
• Proven background in product or manufacturing design (sheet metal, joinery, or fabrication).
• Good understanding of how things are made - from laser cutting to welding and assembly.
• Practical, workshop-aware mindset - you like seeing your work come to life on the shop floor.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in innovation.

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience with Jetcam, CNC programming, or nesting.
• Experience in retail display, furniture, or industrial product design.
• Familiarity with rendering tools (SketchUp, Blender).
