Job description

As a Lead Software Developer, you will play a key role in developing, configuring and integrating Thermo Fisher SampleManager. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you'll help deliver enhancements, integrations and platform upgrades whilst ensuring compliance within a regulated laboratory environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and customising Thermo Fisher SampleManager
  • Configuring workflows, entities, forms, reports and dashboards
  • Developing integrations with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems
  • Building and supporting REST/SOAP and API integrations
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries and database components
  • Supporting migration activities from Oracle to PostgreSQL
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis
  • Collaborating with laboratory users and technical stakeholders
  • Supporting testing, validation and deployment activities
  • Producing technical documentation and supporting system governance

Requirements

  • Commercial experience developing with Thermo Fisher SampleManager (v12.1 v or 21.3)
  • Strong SampleManager configuration and customisation experience
  • VGL development experience
  • C# /.NET development skills
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and web services
  • Experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with laboratory users and business stakeholders

  • £535 per day via Umbrella | Remote working
  • Initial contract until the end of the year
  • BPSS Clearance required
