Job description
The Enterprise Systems Director position (K0235139) is responsible for overseeing the performance, security, and reliability of all Medicaid Enterprise systems. Assesses future system enhancement and integration needs to identify priorities, sequencing of efforts, and budget needs. Understands operations workflow and processes, and how technology can enable and support business operations. Ensures defect / functionality remediation and prioritization addresses functional priorities and operational needs. Creates and enforces standardized processes and procedures. Ensure a high degree of quality by maximizing DHCF testing of operational release testing. Ensure systems meet regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements. Maintain compliance with required metric and status report submissions to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services., * Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale system implementations, upgrades, and other system projects, in partnership with external vendors.
- Drive the DHCF Project Management Office to have standardized processes to develop detailed project charters, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee user acceptance testing, training, and change management to ensure smooth adoption.
- Develop multi-year roadmaps for systems evolution, aligning technology investments with business priorities.
- Assist and guide the team in submitting and obtaining approval for Kansas Information Technology Office intake demand requests and IT State Review Board requests.
- Deal with issues that cross multiple units, divisions by resolving problems and securing compromises.
Requirements
- High School, GED
- Licensing & Certification:
- Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State., + Four years of experience in planning, organizing and directing the work of a department, program or agency.
