Mainframe Logical Security Engineer

Administer and maintain RACF and mainframe security controls Manage user access, roles, groups, and permissions across z/OS environments Perform security audits, access reviews, and compliance reporting Monitor security events, investigate issues, and support remediation efforts Implement and maintain dataset, subsystem, and resource security policies Collaborate with infrastructure, IAM, and compliance teams to ensure secure operations Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives Best regards, Sai Koushik Bezawada

5+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe (z/OS) environments Strong hands-on experience with RACF administration (ACF2 or Top Secret experience is a plus) Expertise in user and group management Experience managing dataset and subsystem security Strong understanding of z/OS security architecture and access control models Experience conducting security audits, access reviews, and compliance assessments Experience monitoring and analyzing security logs Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with ACF2 or CA Top Secret Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms Experience supporting enterprise audit and compliance initiatives Exposure to IAM, SSO, and MFA solutions Automation or scripting experience with REXX, Python, or Shell scripting Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments
