Job description

  • Responsible for on-site and/or remote installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktop, notebook and mobile PC workstations, printers, and associated peripherals.
  • Responds to incidents and problems, and fulfills requests.
  • Understands the business implications of computer hardware and system issues allowing them to appropriately set incident severity levels.
  • Troubleshoots a wide variety of technical problems and engages parties in other areas of IT to address problems.
  • Monitors the performance of desktop hardware and maintains a secure environment.
  • Understands the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that identify the success of the services provided and strives for improvements to operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in desktop support or technical support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders., * Troubleshooting for highly complex hardware, software and system problems for multiple device types.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional IT teams on complex issues.
  • Knowledge of advanced desktop services skills.

Qualification And Education:

  • Experience in providing desktop hardware deployment and implementation of low to medium complexity programs or projects.
  • Experience in responding to customer requests of high complexity and interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Experience in maintaining device asset management systems and knowledge management systems.
