Job description

The Sales Trainer will play a critical role in developing the next generation of top-performing sales professionals at Cool Cat Fence. This individual will work closely with Sales Managers, Recruiting, and Executive Leadership to ensure every new salesperson receives a world-class onboarding experience and ongoing coaching that accelerates their path to success.

This role will be responsible for delivering sales training programs, facilitating onboarding, conducting field coaching, supporting ride-alongs, improving sales process execution, and ensuring consistent adoption of the Cool Cat Fence sales methodology., * Lead and coordinate onboarding programs for all newly hired Sales Representatives.

  • Facilitate orientation sessions covering company culture, policies, expectations, and sales systems.
  • Deliver training on fencing products, materials, installation processes, warranties, financing options, and competitive positioning.
  • Train new hires on the Cool Cat Fence sales process
  • Objection handling
  • Closing techniques
  • Coordinate ride-alongs, shadowing opportunities, role-playing exercises, and field training activities.
  • Ensure all new hires complete required certifications and training milestones before operating independently.

Sales University & Development Programs

  • Facilitate company-wide sales training programs and workshops.
  • Conduct role-play sessions and practical exercises to reinforce sales fundamentals.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through testing, observation, and coaching.
  • Track progress and provide recommendations for additional development.
  • Support ongoing education initiatives for both new and tenured sales representatives.

Training Administration & Content Development

  • Maintain onboarding records, certifications, and training completion documentation.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of training materials, presentations, videos, playbooks, and learning resources.
  • Support updates to sales scripts, product knowledge materials, and training curriculum.
  • Track training effectiveness and report on key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate training logistics, materials, welcome kits, uniforms, and equipment for new hires.

Leadership & Culture Support

  • Promote Cool Cat Fence's core values throughout all training initiatives.
  • Help create a culture centered around accountability, growth, continuous improvement, and winning.
  • Support recruiting efforts through participation in interviews, assessments, and hiring events when needed.

Key Outcomes

  • Deliver a consistent and highly effective onboarding experience for all new sales hires.
  • Improve speed-to-productivity for new sales representatives.
  • Increase close rates and sales process adherence across the organization.
  • Improve retention and engagement among new hires.
  • Provide ongoing coaching that elevates individual and team performance.
  • Maintain accurate training records and development plans.
  • Ensure every salesperson represents the Cool Cat Fence brand at the highest level.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional who enjoys developing others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping people reach their full potential., * 3+ years of experience in sales training, coaching, sales management, or high-performance sales.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop individuals with varying experience levels.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience conducting in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales technology platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% throughout company markets.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in home improvement, construction, roofing, fencing, remodeling, or related industries.
  • Prior in-home sales experience.
  • Experience building training programs and learning content.
  • Experience conducting ride-alongs and field coaching.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
