Job description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a team responsible for building and supporting the data platforms that power critical financial reporting and business metrics across the organization. This role will focus on designing and developing scalable ETL pipelines, transforming and integrating large datasets, and supporting reporting related to assets, revenue, sales commitments, and quarterly financial releases. The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Java experience, a passion for solving complex data challenges, and hands-on experience working with AWS technologies, Snowflake, and enterprise data warehouses. This is a highly technical, end-to-end data engineering role on a team that values ownership, problem-solving, and building scalable solutions that drive key financial reporting and decision-making.

Requirements

Candidates should have a strong foundation in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling concepts. They should be comfortable designing tables, defining relationships between datasets, writing complex joins, and understanding normalization principles to create efficient and scalable database structures. The team is looking for engineers who can take real-world business scenarios and translate them into well-designed data models., 3-5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, or a related field -Expert-level SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with large datasets. -Strong Java development experience. -Experience building and maintaining ETL/data transformation pipelines from scratch. -Strong understanding of data transformation, data integration, and large-scale batch processing. -Experience owning end-to-end data jobs from development through production support. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Hands-on experience with AWS services, including: (AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3) -Experience working with relational databases such as: (DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, Snowflake) -Experience with Scala, particularly for ETL and data transformation workloads. -Financial services or banking industry experience -Experience working with Snowflake data warehouses. -Experience modernizing or migrating legacy data platforms.
