Job description

This position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) within Turnkey Training Portfolio on the Singapore Basics Wings Course (BWC) program. We integrate deliverable hardware and deliverable software during production testing in our Orlando facility and then deliver the advanced Training Devices to our customers at their international schoolhouses. We take pride in our work because we know that pilots gain proficiency in our flight simulators that directly translates to effectiveness when they operate the aircraft in the real-world., * Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems.

  • Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
  • Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
  • Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
  • Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

We work with global Air Forces to provide training as a service, often including new facilities, simulation systems, training and logistics management software, and courseware. Our team develops, integrates, and deploys all these products to our customers and sustains them over multi-year contracts.

In addition to ACS, we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our F-35 team at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems - Training, Logistics and Simulation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems or Software Engineering, or related discipline

  • 2 or more years of experience with systems engineer

  • Ability to travel to travel to US and international sites for customer installs

  • Test Procedure Development, Execution and Results Documentation Desired Skills:

  • Experience using DOORS and Requirements decomposition

  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence Atlassian web-based tools

  • Ability to analyze complex designs & create test solutions that optimize quality/cost/schedule variables.

  • Knowledgeable in hardware (servers, switches, I/O modules, & interface panels) and software (Linux OS, Windows OS, & VMware)

  • Experience with installation, administration, and configuration of Windows and Linux OS's (RHEL, SLES [SUSE])

  • Experience with computer rack cabling, hard drive cloning, installing software licenses, IP configuration, performing firmware updates, and system hardening., Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
