Job description
- Build appropriate spreadsheet models of business problems to make rational, data-driven managerial recommendations effectively solving those problems.
Critical Thinking
- Manipulate spreadsheet models of business problems to examine the robustness of proposed solutions to those problems.
Duties/Expectations:
- Teach IS 110, sections 001 and 002.
- Course content and teaching materials are created by the faculty for adjuncts to use (teaching assistants will be hired to assist in the course).
- Once a week, on-campus lectures.
- Passion and support for the Information Systems degree.
- Ability to engage with students in an in-person and online format.Section 1 is offered Tuesdays 3:00pm - 3:50pm, and Section 2 is offered Tuesdays 4:00pm - 4:50pm on the BYU campus.

Requirements
Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. These must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Ability to teach the basics of Microsoft Excel at a beginning level, including:
- IF statements
- Functions
- V/H Lookups
- Pivot Tables
- Charting
- Statistics
Prior teaching or training experience at the university or professional level and knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
Brief Description: Information Systems 110 is an introductory course focused on Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Students get hands-on practice with tools and techniques for analyzing data and informing decisions in a variety of contexts - not just in a business setting.
