Job description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented CNO Vulnerability Researcher to join our team in Herndon, VA . In this role, you will support critical national security missions by identifying and analyzing software vulnerabilities, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with a highly skilled cyber team to advance offensive and defensive capabilities., * Researching and discovering software vulnerabilities across multiple platforms and environments
- Reverse engineering software to identify security weaknesses and develop mechanism bypasses
- Performing as a team lead on projects when appropriate, providing technical guidance and mentorship
- Managing the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systemsResearching and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and emerging trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption
- Communicating project status, findings, and risk considerations with leadership and customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in vulnerability research
- Experience in reverse engineering and common security research tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG or similar
- Experience in Python, C/C++, and Assembly (x86/x64) programming
- Experience with CNO capability development
- Experience with low-level internals in Windows and Linux
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging, * Experience managing or leading teams
- Experience developing fuzzers and static analysis tools
- Experience with modern security system features
- Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible)
- Experience applying Agile Scrum methodologiesExperience mentoring junior vulnerability researchers
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
