DevOps Engineer - Central Operations WBNY Central Operations provides critical infrastructure support and maintenance services across Warner Bros. Games technical ecosystem. Our team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the telemetry infrastructure. This platform collects telemetry in real-time, passes it to our analytical platform and provides APIs with promotional/experimentation content to enrich user experience. Telemetry data also provides insights for guiding game development, marketing, and monetization.
Some of our featured games include Game of Thrones: Conquest, Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat, Batman: Arkham Knight and Hogwarts Legacy.
The DevOps Engineer will be a key contributor to maintaining, optimizing, and automating the promotional/experimentation platform and its APIs. This role focuses on ensuring the continued high availability, performance, and security of these critical systems while implementing modern DevOps practices to improve reliability and efficiency. You will be responsible for infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational excellence of the platform within the WBNY Central Operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our applications and services
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate resource provisioning and management
- Monitor system performance and implement automated alerting to ensure platform reliability and rapid response to incidents
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks to validate infrastructure changes and configurations
- Manage and optimize cloud costs while maintaining appropriate service levels
- Enhance security posture through implementation of security best practices across infrastructure

Requirements
-
3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
-
Strong experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, and IAM
-
Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK)
-
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
-
Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar
-
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)

Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)

Understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers

Experience with configuration management tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Highly Desired:

- Duration:12 months, Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Benefits & conditions
- Pay Range*: $70- $77/h
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
