Job description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Help Desk I team member to join a long-term contract opportunity supporting customers and internal stakeholders in Naperville, Illinois. This hybrid role works Monday through Friday and focuses on delivering responsive technical assistance, resolving product and parts-related questions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to address more complex issues. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced support environment.
Responsibilities:

Respond to customer inquiries related to pricing, warranty coverage, and equipment parts with accurate and timely information.

Provide frontline technical support by troubleshooting issues and guiding users toward effective solutions.

Partner with product marketing, research and development, and commercialization teams to share technical insight within assigned subject areas.

Work closely with Level 2 support teams to coordinate the resolution of escalated cases and ensure proper follow-through.

Track service activity, maintain support records, and contribute to reporting that measures team performance and service trends.

Use internal systems and office tools to document requests, review data, and support daily help desk operations.

Balance multiple service needs at once while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach.
Requirements

Contribute to team goals by supporting operational priorities and helping maintain consistent service standards. Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent required.

At least 1-2 years of technical support, help desk, or related experience.

Foundational understanding of PLCs, electrical components, and industrial mechanical systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead clear, confident conversations.

Solid organizational skills with close attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience working with spreadsheets to review and interpret data.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet minimum age requirements.
