Job description
- System Infrastructure: Install, configure, and maintain servers, cloud instances (AWS/Azure), and network hardware.
- Security Oversight: Monitor systems for security breaches, manage firewalls, and perform regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments.
- Identity Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) across all platforms.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical response to security alerts and system outages, performing root-cause analysis.
- Patch Management: Automate and oversee the deployment of critical updates and security patches across the enterprise server environment.
- Backup & Recovery: Maintain robust disaster recovery plans and ensure data integrity through regular backup testing.
- Compliance & Policy: Develop and enforce IT security policies (e.g., password rotations, data encryption) and assist with audits (WDFI, NCUA, etc.).
Requirements
- Systems: Proficiency in Windows/Linux Server administration and virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V, SAN Solutions IBM Flashsystem, etc.).
- Security Tools: Experience with EDR/MDR (Sentinel One), SIEM tools, Fortinet Firewalls, VPNs, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CISSP.
- Vigilance: An "assume breach" mindset with a high attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues under pressure.
- Communication: Able to explain security risks and technical requirements to non-technical staff.
