Job description

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, LLC office in Raleigh, NC. What You Will Do Assess the importance and ROI of different performance testing strategies and tools (e.g., k6, Locust, chaos engineering frameworks) for the Konflux ecosystem Drive the definition of performance baselines, Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for Konflux, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure they meet business needs Work closely with Konflux engineering, QE, SRE, and product management teams to embed performance considerations throughout the development lifecycle and gain buy-in for strategic initiatives Define requirements for effective performance monitoring, observability (metrics, tracing, logging using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.), and automated alerting to detect regressions and anomalies Proactively analyze potential performance bottlenecks across the Konflux stack (including dependencies like etcd, networking, storage) and recommend optimization strategies Translate strategic goals and identified gaps into actionable tasks (e.g., Jira epics/stories) and work with teams on prioritization for capacity planning, cost optimization, and testing implementation Clearly articulate performance findings, strategy documents, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI systems by leveraging your technical expertise to develop and maintain robust web applicat…

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related role Must have ten (10) years of experience with: Linux operating systems; and Linux Kernel and device drivers Must have five (5) years of experience with: Test data visualization, analysis, and identifying performance bottlenecks; Observability stacks, including Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Splunk; and Red Hat Konflux, Tekton, or similar CI/CD and build systems Must have three (3) years of experience with: container orchestration software, including Kubernetes or OpenShift; and performance testing tools, including k6, Locust, or JMeter, and/or load, stress, and endurance methodologies #LI-DNI

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this position is $118,600.00 - $195,680.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
