Job description

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Valley Forge, PA for a Systems Engineer supporting the supporting the Ground Cyber Electronic Warfare portfolio. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals, interact with internal stakeholders, and interface with external customers. The successful candidate will be motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, and team-oriented.

WHO YOU ARE

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Systems Engineer to join our team.

  • Contributor to the creation of design solutions that address complex engineering problems across the full system lifecycle.

  • Develop system requirements and architectures to ensure customer needs and contracts are appropriately translated into the products development cycle.

  • Develop operational scenarios, based on the customer's goals and contractual requirements.

  • Incrementally develop the product design and delivery optimization requirements.

  • Develop functional, architectural, and detailed designs. Incrementally develop design to provide added or updated functionality based on operational scenarios and customer requirements.

  • Support key aspects of the technical implementation of the program, by collaborating across a number of disciplines to ensure that technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent across disciplines, and interfacing with stakeholders (e.g., engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met.

  • Support risk assessments and risk mitigation plans, including balancing technical risks between systems.

  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration opportunities to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in addition to BS in Engineering STEM field

  • Security Clearance required Prior to Start: Top Secret

  • Experience working in a rapid paced, Agile development environment

  • Ability to travel as it may be required to vendors or test events

Desired Skills:

  • Experience developing system, hardware, and performance requirements

  • Experience performing software and/or systems integration and testing

  • Familiarity with Agile systems development and/or DevOps

  • Working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution

  • Methodical approach to problem solving

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
