The Endevor Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, and operational support of the CA Endevor Software Change Management system within a mainframe environment. This role ensures structured source control, controlled promotion of application components, and automated compilation and deployment across multiple environments such as Development, SIT, UAT, and Production. The administrator works closely with application development teams, release management, operations, and infrastructure teams to maintain a reliable and compliant application lifecycle management framework. The role also supports the setup of new applications within Endevor, defines processor groups for compilation and binding processes, manages component versioning, and ensures the stability and security of the Endevor platform., Endevor System Administration Administer and maintain the CA Endevor SCM platform across enterprise mainframe environments. Responsibilities include: Configure and maintain Endevor structures including: Environments Systems Subsystems Stages Ensure the correct promotion flow between environments such as: Development System Integration Testing User Acceptance Testing Production Maintain environment configurations and ensure alignment with organizational release management policies. Application Setup and Configuration Configure Endevor to support multiple enterprise applications and ensure proper lifecycle management for each application. Responsibilities include: Create and configure new applications within Endevor environments. Define application structures including: Environment System Subsystem Component types Configure multiple applications to operate within shared Endevor infrastructure while maintaining logical separation of components and processing rules. Establish component classifications for various mainframe technologies including: COBOL programs JCL scripts PROCs Copybooks DB2 modules CICS programs Assembler modules PL/I programs Control cards Batch utilities Ensure proper configuration of development, test, and production libraries for each application. Processor and Compilation Management Design, configure, and maintain Endevor processor groups used to compile and build application components. Responsibilities include: Develop processors for different technologies including: COBOL compilation DB2 precompile and compile processes CICS compilation and link editing Assembler compilation PL/I compilation JCL validation PROC management Configure processors to perform build tasks such as: Source extraction from Endevor Compilation of source code Link editing of load modules Generation of DBRM files Execution of DB2 bind steps Deployment of load modules to runtime libraries Ensure processor scripts correctly allocate datasets, handle compile parameters, and maintain build integrity across all environments. Component Lifecycle Management Manage the lifecycle of all application components stored within Endevor. Responsibilities include: Adding new components into Endevor. Performing component actions including: Add Update Delete Retrieve Generate Move Transfer Promotion and Migration Control Administer controlled promotion of application components between environments. Responsibilities include: Manage component promotions across stages such as: Development SIT SIT UAT UAT Production Ensure migration procedures follow enterprise change management standards. Validate dependencies during promotion processes to prevent runtime failures. Monitor promotion activities and resolve migration errors.

Strong experience working with CA Endevor Software Change Manager in a z/OS environment. Proficiency with mainframe development technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and Assembler. Experience designing and maintaining Endevor processor groups for application builds. Strong understanding of mainframe dataset management and library structures. Knowledge of enterprise security systems such as RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret. Experience supporting enterprise release management and deployment processes. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams. Preferred Experience At least 10 years of experience working in large enterprise environments supporting multiple applications and complex deployment pipelines. Experience supporting organizations with thousands of application components and multiple development teams. Experience integrating Endevor with modern DevOps tools and automated build systems. Expected Outcomes Successful management of the Endevor environment ensuring stable and controlled application development and release processes. Efficient setup and configuration of new applications within the Endevor platform. Reliable and automated compilation and deployment processes through processor configurations.
