Job description

The client Robotics Applied Automation team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to accelerate test automation for Nike Neo, a new pick/stow station program rolling out across client's fulfillment network. You will develop automated test cases that gate the software release pipeline, directly expediting how fast new Nike Neo builds reach production floors. Your tests will be the quality bar for hardware that ships to 800+ fulfillment centers. Primary responsibilities include authoring, debugging, and maintaining automated test cases in Java against our existing test framework; building tests for pick, ICQA, and stow workflows; integrating tests into the alpha/beta release pipeline as automated quality gates; and triaging test failures. You will work in an AI-native development model - using AI coding tools to author and maintain tests at high velocity - and partner closely with QA-Auto engineers and the Nike Neo (HWI) development team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate writes production-quality Java and is fluent with AI-assisted development tools. They must be detail-oriented, communicate clearly in writing and speech, work independently, and stay productive under release-cycle pressure. Required: Strong Java 2 5 years of test automation or software development experience A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree. Preferred: Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-native / agentic coding tools. Robotics, hardware-integration, or fulfillment-systems experience is a plus.
