Job description

We are experts in data science, model development and machine learning, supporting data-driven monitoring of compliance and operational risks. In daily dialogue, among others with Legal & Compliance, we inspire enthusiasm for data analyses and intelligent models, proactively identify corresponding needs and implement them. Our field of topics includes, among others, anti-money laundering, sanctions or the measurement of operational and compliance risks. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an entry-level professional with a passion for data analysis and an affinity for banking, especially in the compliance environment. Your tasks

  • Support the Legal & Compliance team with all needs related to data acquisition, analysis and visualisation as well as the use of models, machine learning and/or generative AI
  • Contribute to the further development of the bank's non-financial risk management by proactively building a strong data and model base
  • Participate in projects, among others, on anti-money laundering laws and regulations, sanctions, fraud, non-financial risks or business intelligence & analytics
  • Technical implementation of reporting, data visualisations and machine learning models with Python, SQL and Tableau

Requirements

  • Master's in relevant fields; banking experience is a plus.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL required.
  • Excellent German communication skills are essential., * Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, economics or a related field
  • Initial practical experience in the banking environment in the area of non-financial risks is an advantage
  • Good understanding and great interest in statistical methods, machine learning and/or generative AI
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL as well as enjoyment in analysing and processing data in a complex data landscape
  • Motivation and drive to understand a wide variety of questions, to separate the essential from the non-essential and then to address the crucial aspects appropriately for the target audience
  • Very good German skills, both spoken and written, are mandatory
