Job description
At Highberg, we create movement for our clients and strive for lasting impact. We are proud to guide organizations through the most profound transformation of our time: the rise of AI. In this role you fundamentally reshape HR, from processes to mindsets and capabilities. Together with clients, you design and build HR solutions for a future in which AI plays a central role, and you implement these solutions end to end. This is not a traditional consultancy role. You combine strong consulting skills with a hands on approach: developing AI driven prototypes and showing clients, in practice, what the HR function of tomorrow looks like. Does this sound like your next challenge ?
Your role as AI Transformation Consultant
In this role, you will guide organizations end to end in their AI transformation within HR, from shaping a clear vision and identifying opportunities to designing, building, and implementing AI native processes that deliver measurable value and are widely adopted across the organization.
Your responsibilities include:
- Helping clients define an inspiring AI vision and the guiding principles needed to make it a reality, while creating genuine engagement with leadership.
- Working with stakeholders to identify and prioritize HR processes that are ready for AI transformation, and assessing the organization's readiness to take this step.
- Developing AI native process designs from financial, operational, and technical perspectives, and securing management approval to move into build and implementation.
- Leading the iterative development of AI native processes that replace legacy ways of working, while keeping end users closely involved throughout the journey.
- Driving the technical and functional implementation of AI native HR processes, supporting the teams that will work with them, and ensuring return on investment is concrete and measurable.
Requirements
- You are all in. This is a full time role for someone who does their best work when fully immersed.
- You are driven by curiosity.
- You have a strong instinct for human centered design and can switch effortlessly between a conversation with a non technical HR director and a deep dive with an AI engineer.
- You thrive in ambiguity. Building something new from scratch within a complex organization energizes you rather than making you uncomfortable.
- You are AI literate and able to apply AI in a conscious, critical, and responsible way to enhance your work.
What are we asking?
- You bring 4 to 10 years of experience with HR processes and data.
- You have worked in consulting or in internal transformation teams and understand the rhythm of client work: scoping, delivering, and knowing when to push back.
- You have guided organizations through technical change, whether that was implementing a new HR system, redesigning processes, or running an AI pilot. You understand that adoption is harder than design.
- You are comfortable building a business case, facilitating a workshop, and writing a board ready slide deck in the same week.
- You have developed skills in prompt engineering, agent configuration, and solution building through spec coding and vibe coding.
- You are fluent in English, speaking Dutch is a plus.
- You live within the Utrecht, Leiden, Alkmaar, or Almere region.
Benefits & conditions
- Attractive and comprehensive employment conditions: a salary up to €6,600 gross per month, excluding holiday allowance, with variable compensation aligned with the responsibility and impact of your role, complemented by paid leave, mobility options, and a pension scheme.
- The best of two worlds: the intellectual sharpness and quality of a high end consultancy firm, combined with the agility and engagement of an entrepreneurial organization.
- Responsibility, autonomy, and entrepreneurship: from the very start, you take ownership in projects and client work, with plenty of room to take initiative, supported by experienced colleagues.
- Collaborating in an accessible environment: you work in a setting where decision making is close to the action and ideas quickly gain traction.
- Flexible working with strong connection: hybrid working is possible, combined with regular moments where we come together for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team activities such as inspiring sessions and the Highberg Festival.
