Field Engineering & On-Site Deployments
- Install, configure, and maintain advanced hosted telephony, networking, and integrated IT infrastructure.
- Install and commission routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (WAPs).
- Mount infrastructure hardware, including data cabinets, access points, security cameras, and network devices.
- Complete physical structured data cabling installations, trunking, routing, testing, and fault-finding using hand and power tools safely.
- Perform equipment replacements, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
- Complete accurate site documentation, technical sign-off paperwork, and installation records.
Remote Technical Support
- Provide high-quality remote technical support to the Service Desk when not actively deployed on customer sites.
- Investigate and resolve incoming support tickets across networking, telecoms, and IT services.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot broadband, hosted voice, SIP, and core connectivity issues.
- Escalate complex faults appropriately while maintaining clear ownership of customer communication.
Customer Service & Representation
- Act as a professional ambassador for the business while representing on customer sites.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear, understandable language for non-technical clients.
- Build strong, trusted customer relationships through exceptional service and clear communication.
- Ensure all physical work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy following completion.

- Strong fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking principles (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless networks).
- Practical experience with structured data cabling, routing, and confident use of hand/power tools.
- Sharp technical fault-finding and logical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer-facing skills with a proactive, reliable approach to independent workload management.
- A valid, Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Experience & Certifications
- Experience with hosted VoIP platforms (e.g., 3CX) or advanced CX/communication software.
- Experience installing CCTV, IP cameras, or access control systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and core Windows environments.
- Hands-on fiber and copper cabling experience.
- Active networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Ubiquiti, MikroTik).
