Job description

  • Conducting security assessments and vulnerability analysis across infrastructure, applications and systems
  • Supporting the design and implementation of security controls aligned to industry standards and frameworks
  • Contributing to incident response activities, including threat detection, containment and remediation
  • Collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to embed security practices into development pipelines and deployment processes
  • Assisting with security audits, compliance reviews and documentation of security posture
  • Participating in security architecture discussions and contributing technical recommendations
  • Supporting the maintenance and improvement of security tools, logging and monitoring capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent industry-recognised qualification)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network security, application security and system hardening
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and secure infrastructure design
  • Familiarity with security tools, vulnerability scanners and SIEM platforms
  • Understanding of secure coding principles and CI/CD security practices
  • Strong technical foundation in Linux, Windows and scripting (Python, Bash)
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
  • Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
