Job description
We are seeking an IPA Data Administrator to join the Covert Authorities Bureau, on a two year fixed term contract. This role manages sensitive intelligence data, ensures strict legal compliance with the Investigatory Powers Act, and supports critical policing operations behind the scenes.
The Role
As an IPA (Investigatory Powers Act) Data Administrator. You will be the first point of contact for data compliance within the Covert Authorities Bureau. You aren't just filing paperwork, you are the digital gatekeeper. Your precision allows frontline officers to manage their data used to solve all levels of crime and locate the offenders that pose the highest risk to our community.
What you will be doing: Maintaining meticulous administrative records to satisfy the rigorous oversight of the Investigatory Powers Commissioner's Office (IPCO) Liaising with officers and staff across the organisation to ensure all data handled meets statutory requirements and force procedures. Auditing digital and physical files for accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection compliance., Tattoos - you will also be requested to provide photos and describe of any visible tattoos you have /*generated inline style */

Requirements
A strong understanding of Data Protection legislation and information management. The ability to maintain total confidentiality and handle highly sensitive/covert policing material. Strong IT skills and a proven track record in complex administrative duties. Knowledge of police systems (Niche, PNC)
