Roles of this type may sit within collaborative design teams where you would contribute to the full design lifecycle, from concept through to implementation, working alongside UX designers, product managers and developers to deliver solutions that users love.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:

  • Designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, translating user needs and business requirements into intuitive visual solutions
  • Creating and maintaining design systems, component libraries and style guides to ensure consistency across digital products
  • Collaborating with UX designers and product teams to refine wireframes and prototypes into polished, production-ready designs
  • Iterating on designs based on user research, usability testing and stakeholder feedback
  • Ensuring accessibility standards and best practices are followed throughout the design process
  • Contributing to the evolution of visual design standards and brand consistency across platforms
  • Working with developers to support implementation and troubleshoot design-to-development handoffs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in design, fine arts, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 2-5 years of professional UI design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating digital design work
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or similar
  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including UX, product and engineering
  • Strong visual communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to articulate design decisions and receive constructive feedback
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with motion design or interactive prototyping
  • Familiarity with design tokens and component-based design systems
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) or design-to-development workflows
