Job description
- Supporting the design, implementation and maintenance of security infrastructure and controls
- Contributing to security assessments, vulnerability testing and penetration testing activities
- Assisting with threat analysis, incident response and security remediation efforts
- Collaborating with infrastructure and development teams to embed security best practices
- Supporting the documentation and communication of security policies and procedures
- Contributing to compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting where applicable
- Mentoring junior team members and sharing security knowledge across the organisation
Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in cybersecurity, IT security or a related security discipline
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards and compliance requirements (such as ISO 27001, NIST or PCI DSS)
- Hands-on experience with security tools, SIEM platforms and network security technologies
- Understanding of common threat vectors, attack methods and defensive strategies
- Experience with vulnerability assessment, penetration testing or security auditing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate security concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Additional strengths could include:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or GIAC qualifications
- Experience in specific sectors such as financial services, healthcare or critical infrastructure
- Knowledge of cloud security, application security or secure development practices
- Experience with security automation and infrastructure-as-code
